People don’t need to be rescued or saved. They need the knowledge of their power, and how to access it” (unknown) My unique healing signature comes from using both an indigenous way of knowing, and nature walking therapy while incorporating Western modalities.
Most of my clients have developmental trauma from their childhood and struggle with symptoms of Complex Post Traumatic Stress. I draw on various modalities that are used to shift the energy in mental, behavioural, and psycho-spiritual transformations.
My ideal client is open to building a trusting relationship to create small changes that can lead to a better way of feeling and living. They are open to developing or considering how Spirituality can be a supportive resource for them. If they are in the Lower Mainland open to do a Nature Walking Therapy. It is amazing using Mother Earth as a Co-Facilitator.
I work with intergenerational trauma and survivors of residential schools, day schools and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW). I work with both the Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
I bring a holistic and strength-based perspective into your journey by embracing your intuition, your desire to love yourself and a desire to have hope, meaning, purpose and belonging in your life. I love to include nature as a co-therapist and offer Walking Therapy. Being a relational therapist it is important that I also have a strong relationship with Mother Earth. We are all interconnected including Mother Earth. Nature is us and we are nature!
I am a first-generation residential school thriver. Mental wellness is continuous and always needs to be embraced and nurtured. I am a member of the Batchewana First Nation of Ojibway.
